Hey Everyone!! I know I havn’t written in awhile! 😦 This season is one of my favorites so I just had to write about it and so I thought it would be a perfect post to get me back to writing!
I love the Thanksgiving Season!! I love the fall colors, the crisp air and (of course) the yummy food!! Thanksgiving is a wonderful time for family get togethers, baking scrumptious pies, and just enjoying life. Before the busyness sets in and we start competing over who really bakes the best pumpkin pie, let’s just stop and be thankful for all our blessings. Let’s be thankful for our families, friends, coworkers, and neighbors who bless our lives everyday. I want to say to everyone in my life that I am thankful for you, and especially I want to thank God for His blessings on me and my family everyday.
We forget so many times in this season of gratitude to be truly thankful. Let’s all make an extra effort to think of one thing to be thankful for everyday this week leading up to Thanksgiving. 🙂

I have always been extremely skeptical about diet plans and health food programs. As far as I can tell you can’t just suddenly decide to take a pill and lose weight magically. Then a few months ago a friend of ours approached us about a wonderful new drink they were drinking. They made it sound so wonderful that of course I was skeptical. Well, they sold my husband and he tried it. I was very happily surprised to find that it worked for him. He lost 16 pounds very quickly and easily. Now I know this probably won’t work for some people and I have heard great things and not so great things from the people I know who have tried it. So I won’t promise that it will fix your problems or magically help you lose weight. For what it’s worth though, I thought I would share it with all of you. So here is a link for the Plexus Slim Drink. They have lots of information and studies about their products on their site. This could be just what you need to push you over the top in your diet and get you ready for you next big photo shoot. 🙂

I know the 4th of July is over but here are a few pictures my husband took that turned out really good. 🙂
Pets are some of the most interesting subjects for a photographer. They have a personality and style all their own. The pet photographer’s main job is to showcase each pet’s own unique personality and make them look like the special members of the family they are.
Meet Sassy a lovable, little Yorkshire Terrier who loves to pose for her glamour shots. 🙂
I’m trying to get into stock photography with a few of my nature photos. Check out my portfolio. I will be adding more pictures soon.
Last night a walk along the Mississippi River took on a bit of adventure when a storm came up when we were still quite a way from our car.
I got some really good pictures out of it though.
While on a walk last night I found myself without my camera. I didn’t let this stop me though and when I saw these beautiful flowers I just had to try to take a few pics.
This Lily was particularly photogenic. 🙂
A friendly bee posed for this picture and added a little of Nature’s interest.
We all have our favorite flowers and bushes in our backyard. We watch them, water them, baby them, and then when the season passes we forget all about them. Don’t do that!! Backyard nature photography is fun, relaxing, and rewarding. You can showcase your best plants for years to come with just a few well chosen shots. This was a picture I took this spring of a Bleeding Heart plant in my backyard. The season has passed and the beautiful flowers are gone but they live on through the pictures I took of them.

My daughter is eight and a half months old. Already she is trying to follow in the steps of her musical father and play the piano. She loves music of all kinds and always wants to help Daddy play whenever he sits down for a few minutes. Now I know this can be frustrating at times and my husband has confessed to trying to sneak off and play so she wouldn’t notice him. I think it’s important to remember though that what might sound like tuneless pounding now is building the framework for a possible musician later on. So when your child does something just like you, don’t get frustrated because it’s not coming out just right. Instead look ahead and see the possibilities. Every child is filled with a potential that we can’t even imagine yet.
For me this is the most fulfilling type of infant and child photography. it is showcasing the uniqueness of the child while using a simple, familiar, and enjoyable setting for that child.
